  • Features/Benefits More Efficient and Compatible – The MPO-EPMOD can simultaneously perform multiple MP0 grinding processes (de-bonding, coarse grinding, fine grinding, fiber pulling, polishing), completing one MP0 ferrule connector in an average of 2.5 minutes. With a daily output of over 10,000 units (10 hours per day), it supports various compatible ferrule connectors such as AOC jumpers, MPO branch fan-out cables, MPO-MPO patch cords, optical modules, micro-connector assemblies, MT-MT, and MT-FA. 


  • Simpler Operation – The MP0-EPMOD integrates a robotic arm platform, automatic cleaning system, and automated grinding platform, making the complex MP0 grinding process smarter and easier. Only two general operators are required per unit to handle product loading and unloading—no need for experienced MPO grinding technicians—enabling seamless execution of the entire grinding workflow.

Higher Product Consistency and Yield – The MPO-EPMOD employs a unique grinding path design that maximizes abrasive pad utilization while minimizing overlapping or intersecting grinding areas, significantly improving first-pass end-face yield.Equipped with precision sensors and closed-loop pressure control during grinding, combined with dedicated high-precision grinding fixtures, the system precisely controls material removal, effectively managing 3D surface geometry parameters of ferrules and fibers. Greater Flexibility – The MPO-EPMOD features a modular, brick-like design where each module connects via a single control cable, enabling flexible configuration of automated grinding lines based on specific processes. (A single-line setup combines individual units: four grinding steps require four units; five steps require five units.) Its open belt-loading structure allows compatibility with belts of any width without requiring machine modifications.


Higher Scalability for Full Automation – The MPO-EPMOD serves as a central automation hub for single-station grinding. In the future, production capacity can be expanded by integrating proven front-end assembly and back-end inspection processes. Simply connect equipment through communication links, enable collaborative processing, and manage the entire production line via an internet-based system to achieve fully automated production lines.

Face Shape 3D: Meets the above key criteria with a direct pass rate of over 95% (excluding factors such as material hardness and dimensional errors, surface adhesive contamination, and testing errors).

Polishing Platform

It breaks the traditional grinding machine's orbital motion combining rotation and self-rotation, adopting instead an orbital motion combined with linear movement. This method maximizes the utilization of abrasive sandpaper, ensures each fiber has a new grinding path, maintains consistent

 material removal, and thus guarantees uniform yield for both end face and 3D polishing.

Clean Platform

Advantage Five: The cleaning system employs ultrasonic vibration, mechanical rinsing, and air blowing. Each grinding module is equipped with an independent ultrasonic cleaning tank featuring automatic water filling and drainage. Cleaning time and cycles can be customized. During ultrasonic cleaning, the robotic arm shakes the fixture to enhance rinsing effectiveness, followed by

additional cleaning via air blowing.

Translation: Linear Manipulator
Each independent MOD adopts a full servo dual-axis mechanical arm, which can precisely grasp the fixtures and place them accurately (with a repeatability positioning accuracy of 0.02mm). The grinding mechanical arm is responsible for grasping the product fixtures that have been cleaned in the previous process and placing them precisely at the next grinding workstation. The cleaning mechanical arm is responsible for precisely placing the cleaned product fixtures at the cleaning workstation. Each mechanical arm is independently controlled and has two degrees of freedom in the X and Y axes.
